Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SaaviStudio.com (“Saavi”, “we”, “us”) is India's fashion community platform. Our registered address and data controller details are available on request at privacy@saavistudio.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: Email address, name, profile photo (from Google OAuth or uploaded directly).
• Engagement data: Looks you upvote, save, or follow — used to personalise your feed.
• Creator data: Instagram handle, follower count, uploaded look images (for creators and premium curators).
• Payment data: Subscription status and Razorpay customer ID. We do not store card numbers — Razorpay handles payment processing.
• Usage data: Pages visited, look views, clicks — collected server-side via our own infrastructure only. No third-party tracking pixels.

3. Why we collect it

• To create and manage your account
• To personalise your look feed (upvote/save history)
• To process your Premium subscription and calculate creator commission
• To notify you of look approvals, trending looks from creators you follow, and Saavi Points milestones
• To maintain platform quality and prevent abuse

4. Legal basis (DPDP Act 2023)

We process your personal data on the following grounds under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• Consent — collected at registration for account creation and personalisation
• Contract — subscription and commission processing requires it
• Legitimate interest — platform security and abuse prevention

5. Data sharing

We share your data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in Singapore region)
• Razorpay — payment processing (India)
• Vercel — hosting and edge functions (data may transit through US/EU edge nodes)
• OpenAI — look images sent to GPT-4o Vision for AI item matching and quality assessment

We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data (email us; delivered within 7 days)
• Correction — update your display name, bio, and avatar from your account settings
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated personal data. Anonymised financial records (commission, subscription) are retained for compliance.
• Withdraw consent — stop personalisation at any time from notification settings
• Grievance redressal — contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@saavistudio.com

7. Cookies and local storage

We use only technically necessary cookies (Supabase Auth session token). No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party trackers.

8. Data retention

• Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Look images: retained while the look is live; deleted when a look is deleted by you or removed by ops
• Financial records (orders, commission): retained for 7 years for tax/compliance purposes, anonymised after account deletion

9. Children

Saavi Studio is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We will notify registered users by email of material changes to this policy at least 7 days before they take effect.
